Watermelon Season
I have been loving seasonal summer fruits and have been experimenting with watermelon a lot. Being such a large fruit, I always have a lot to work with. Along with this watermelon margarita, I made a delicious Watermelon Mint Refresher.
Freeze watermelon to add to delicious, hydrating drinks. First, cut the watermelon into chunks. Second, add the frozen watermelon to a gallon-size zip top bag to store in the freezer. Freezing it this way will prevent a large clump of frozen watermelon. Now you can take out as much as you need!

Ingredients
I’ve been working on this watermelon margarita all week, and finally got the perfect recipe. This recipe has watermelon in addition to strawberries. It’s difficult to get a good consistency with watermelon alone. Adding strawberries yielded the bulk I was looking for. Of course, you could increase the amount of watermelon if you don’t want strawberries.
Another important factor is having frozen fruit. Without frozen fruit, the margarita will separate easily. I love the smooth and frosty goodness of a frozen beverage, and this one delivers! Frozen fruit also reduces the amount of ice needed, lessening the chance of diluting your drink.

” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Tajin, or a chili lime seasoning, is my favorite ingredient to line the rim of the glass. ” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Tajin with fresh fruit like mango or watermelon is so tasty! It’s a big deal in Arizona. Instead of Tajin, salt or sugar are also perfect options.
” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>AHA Watermelon Lime sparkling water is my new favorite, and I love adding it to this! ” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Lime flavored sparkling water works as well.

I use a ” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Vitamix blender to get a perfect consistency. ” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Click here to see the Vitamix I have from Amazon! Any blender will work for this recipe.
