Mango Jalapeno Salsa

This mango jalapeno salsa is both sweet and spicy and has such a fresh taste with ripe and seasonal mango. Perfect with fish tacos, grilled chicken, or as a snack and appetizer.
Popular Salsa
I took to social media to decide what type of salsa to make. The consensus was some form of a spicy mango salsa. I saw ‘mango habanero salsa’ mentioned a few times, but unfortunately, I didn’t find any habaneros on my grocery shopping trip. I had some fresh jalapenos on hand and decided to use them instead.

Ingredients
Red bell peppers are another ingredient in this salsa. I love the sweetness of red bell peppers, and they add a beautiful pop of color. I also used green onion in this recipe because I wanted a mild onion flavor to let the mango shine. Red and white onions can have a very strong flavor, and I was not going to let them take over this mango salsa! The cilantro and lime yield a zest and tang and help to balance out all the flavors of the salsa and bring it together.
I use a Pyrex mixing bowl to combine the ingredients, and store the salsa in a Pyrex meal prep container with a lid. The salsa will keep for 7 days, but I’m sure it won’t last that long!

Winning Salsa
I love pineapple salsa, but I had never tried a mango salsa before this. It won me over, and I love it! We enjoyed it on grilled fish tacos with a side of cilantro-lime rice. I made a small amount of salsa for the recipe, but I’m wishing I made so much more. I can’t wait to make this salsa again, and I hope you love it as much as I do!
